IABT006 Royce Rolls - Don’t Let Go / Love Is Lifting Me

Label boss Royce Rolls finally comes forth with his first release on his own imprint; with the as ever club orientated ‘Don’t Let Go’, and a pulsating b-side - ‘Love is Lifting Me’. Both tracks are destined to smash dancefloors across the world, and give just a taste of both the labels’ and Royce Rolls’ music policy and direction. ‘Don’t Let Go’ carries all the hallmarks of Royce’s old school garage influences with punchy garage breaks, an infectious vocal sample and retro organ. In contrast to the bumpy speed garage of the title track, ‘Love is Lifting Me’ is a grimy UK funky record with big wobbles and piano stabs galore, building up to a frantic climax. These two tracks embody everything that the IABT head honcho supports, and furthermore a good indication of where ‘It’s a Bass Thing’ is at right now.
